Walking in Truth

“If someone can prove me wrong, I will gladly change.” — Marcus Aurelius

Marcus Aurelius valued truth above personal pride. A wise person is willing to revise opinions when evidence, reason, or deeper understanding requires it. Intellectual humility allows growth. The goal is not to appear correct but to become wiser.

“You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” — John 8:32

Truth liberates because it aligns us with reality and with God. Freedom grows when we reject deception, confront uncomfortable facts, and live honestly. The pursuit of truth requires courage because it often challenges assumptions and exposes weaknesses. Yet it is through truth that genuine freedom is found.

Seek truth above ego. Scripture calls us to live honestly before God, while Stoicism calls us to remain teachable. Freedom and wisdom flourish when truth becomes more important than pride.
