Persistence in Prayer

“No great thing is created suddenly.” — Epictetus

Meaningful achievements require time, effort, and consistency. Lasting growth rarely happens overnight. Epictetus reminds us that patience is an essential virtue because worthwhile goals often demand long periods of steady effort.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find.” — Matthew 7:7

Christ encourages persistence in prayer. Faith is not passive; it continues seeking even when answers seem delayed. Prayer develops trust, patience, and perseverance. Through persistence we learn to rely on God rather than becoming discouraged by temporary setbacks.

Persistence develops character. Whether in prayer or personal growth, faithful consistency often produces the greatest results.
